Shirley Singleton
President and Chief Executive Officer, Chairman, Board of Directors
ssingleton@edgewater.com Shirley Singleton is the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Edgewater. She co-founded the company in 1992 with her partner, David Clancey. After graduating from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science in Education, Ms. Singleton's working life began as a high school teacher and coach. When she abruptly lost her job due to budget cuts, she successfully transitioned to a new career − computer programming. Ten years later, she co-founded Edgewater Technology with Mr. Clancey. Since its inception, Edgewater has grown from a privately-held, five-person shop into a multi-million dollar, publicly-traded technology management consulting firm with consultants working across the globe. During her tenure, Ms. Singleton has been presented with numerous awards and recognitions. Most recently, Endicott College in Beverly, MA awarded her an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree. Her company has been recognized by the Commonwealth Institute as one of the Top 100 Woman-Led Businesses in Massachusetts for nine consecutive years, and Boston Magazine recognized her as one of the Top 100 Powerful Women in the Boston area. Ms. Singleton serves on the Foundation Board for Bunker Hill Community College; the board for The Commonwealth Institute; and the Dean's Advisory Council for Bentley College. In addition, she is a member of the Town of Essex Conservation Commission.
David Clancey
Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Technology Officer
dclancey@edgewater.com David Clancey is the Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Technology Officer. He co-founded the company in 1992 with his partner, Shirley Singleton. Mr. Clancey earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems from Bentley University in Waltham, MA. Early in his career, Mr. Clancey spent several years within various data processing career positions for organizations such as Wang Labs, Bachman Information Systems, and AVCO Computer Services. Prior to co-founding Edgewater, Mr. Clancey was a systems architect at Logica Data Architects in Waltham, MA, later becoming the company's Chief Technology Officer. At Edgewater, Mr. Clancey has been instrumental in its phenomenal success by focusing on the early identification of and investment in emerging technologies, later utilizing these technologies to solve complex business problems in the most time, cost, and technologically efficient ways.
Tim Oakes
Chief Financial Officer
toakes@edgewater.com Tim Oakes is the Chief Financial Officer of Edgewater. Mr. Oakes joined Edgewater in 2004 and has been Chief Financial Officer since 2009. Mr. Oakes is a certified public accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Stonehill College. He began his career in accountancy working in the Boston office of KPMG, LLP. Prior to joining Edgewater, Mr. Oakes was a Senior Director of Finance at Symmetricom, Inc., a publicly traded manufacturer of equipment dedicated to the generation, synchronization and distribution of precise time and frequency signals. He has nearly 20 years of experience in financial and operational management gained working for various companies in the biotechnology, manufacturing and consulting services industries. As the Company's Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Oakes is responsible for the overall financial operations and controls of the Company, while directing the overall accounting, audit, tax functions and associated practices within the Company. Mr. Oakes joined Edgewater in 2004 as a Director of Finance. He was promoted to Vice President of Finance in 2007, Chief Accounting Officer in 2008, and Chief Financial Officer in 2009. "Over the last five years, Tim has done an outstanding job for our Company, and we are thrilled that he has honed the skills needed to assume the CFO role and its responsibilities," stated Shirley Singleton, Edgewater's Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer. "Tim has played an instrumental role in co-developing our Enterprise Performance Management ('EPM') business plans and has led the charge for Edgewater to adopt many of the EPM methods we use for our external clients."
Robin Ranzal

rranzal@ranzal.com Robin Ranzal Knowles is the President of Edgewater Ranzal. Ms. Ranzal Knowles founded Ranzal & Associates in 1996 and became President in 2004 when the company was acquired by Edgewater. Ms. Ranzal Knowles is an Oracle Hyperion Certified Consultant and Instructor and holds a BS degree from SUNY Plattsburgh. Prior to starting Ranzal, she held several technical and management positions including Director of Consulting Services for Dimension Data Systems, analyst positions at Business Express Airlines, and MCI. After founding Ranzal & Associates in 1996, Ms. Ranzal Knowles grew the organization into a premier Enterprise Performance Management consulting firm. In October 2004, Ranzal & Associates became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Edgewater Technology, Inc. As President of Edgewater Ranzal, Ms. Ranzal Knowles is primarily responsible for managing and is actively involved in client engagements throughout the country. Ms. Ranzal Knowles is recognized nationally as an authority on Oracle Hyperion's Essbase (OLAP) technology. She is a frequent speaker at Oracle Hyperion events including Oracle Hyperion's User Conferences, and has served as a panel expert for Business Performance Management Magazine. She has also played crucial roles in Edgewater Ranzal's Oracle Hyperion client implementations in the Healthcare, Consumer Packaged Goods, Finance, Insurance and Retail industries.
Russell Smith
Senior Vice President, Edgewater Fullscope
Russell Smith is the Senior Vice President of Edgewater Fullscope. Mr. Smith joined Fullscope in 2002 and became Senior Vice President when the company was acquired by Edgewater in 2009. Mr. Smith holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering from Auburn University and a Masters of Business Administration from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. Prior to joining Fullscope, Mr. Smith was a partner in the Peoplesoft practice at The Pinnacle Group, where he was responsible for business development and business operations. While at Pinnacle, Smith developed the independent business plan focused on the manufacturing systems practice that was eventually spun off to form RedKlay. He managed the successful integration of Pinnacle into CSC as part of the acquisition process in 1998. Smith also held positions in product management and operations management at IBM from 1989 to 1996. After joining Redklay in 1998, Mr. Smith served as the company¹s vice president of products and services.
Kristin Zaepfel
Vice President of Human Resources
kzaepfel@edgewater.com Kristin Zaepfel is the Vice President of Human Resources at Edgewater. Ms. Zaepfel joined Edgewater in 2003. Ms. Zaepfel earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Allegheny College and also has a Certificate in Human Resources Management from Bentley College. Prior to joining Edgewater, she was the Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Xchange, Inc., an international, high-growth, customer relationship management software and services company in Boston. With approximately 20 years of Human Resources experience, Ms. Zaepfel has also held various HR positions at such organizations as HPR, Inc., Mellon Bank Corporation, and The Boston Company. As Vice President of Human Resources, Kristin Zaepfel is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Edgewater's Human Resources (HR) Department, participating in making strategic HR decisions as a member of the Senior Management Team.
